Description

On this square, stands an old foundry which was used to manufacture the cast iron pipes of the Marly machine and was converted in the 19th century into several houses. At No. 9 is the house where Renoir lived from 1869 to 1870 (a commemorative plaque indicates the place). At n ° 9bis, house where Kurt Weill lived, the author of the music of the opera of Quat'sous, from 1933 to 1935. At n ° 15, "La Futaie" where the leader of the orchestra, Charles Munch, lived from 1958 to 1968.
