Description

Classified as Historic Monuments, it was built over two centuries, between 1421 and 1551. It has a very rich heritage of furniture often made by renowned artists (Marius Ramus, Alfred Boucher or even Paul Dubois). Its Gothic and Renaissance architecture and its 37m high tower make it an exceptional monument. Also discover its great organ from the 16th Century. The original plan, in the shape of a Latin cross, was altered in the 15th century during the reconstruction of the choir, in a Gothic style. In the 16th century, it was modified by the addition of Renaissance chapels around the choir. The building houses a rich collection of works of art and furniture, most of which are classified or listed as Historic Monuments. For several years, the City has undertaken a program to enhance this heritage through restorations which ended in 2021, for the 600th anniversary of the church. The Tourist Office offers guided tours for individuals on fixed dates (do not hesitate to ask us for the programme) or for groups by reservation.
