Traba looks like a place anchored in the past, where everything is tranquility.
It is accessed through a wide countryside, an area that loves a multitude of birds such as meadowpipit, skylarks, europeangreenfinchs, goldfichs, ... .that we can see in large flocks.
There are wooden walkways, on both sides of the beach, that allow us to access it without stepping on the dunes, thus preventing its deterioration.
Before the dune cord, we find the Traba lagoon, which we can access and partly surround, by a path, thus preserving the environment. This is a special place for the waterfowl and where almost every year you can see some tuftedduck coming from the north. At the northeast end of the lagoon, there is a wooden observatory, from here and with patience we will see the commonreedbunting and the western marsh harrier, which occasionally makes an appearance.
We will be attentive to the flight of the peregrine falcon and red billedchough
Already on the beach, in the north, a stream arrives to which the leggedgulls come to bathe and rest.
Along the beach we will be able to discover some waders like the commonringedplover and sanderling and little stint.
Traba has several protection figures, such as ZEPA, ZEC, ZEPVN and is included in the Plan of Conservation of the black-footed plover.
Any time of the day is good, being more recommended the mornings.
From September to March is the best time to visit it.
The telescope and binoculars are essential.
