Description

Le pont-canal du Cacor est une merveille d’architecture qui permet au canal d’enjamber le Tarn.
Long de 356 m et large de 8,35 m , il est porté par 15 arches assises sur 14 piles, toutes en maçonnerie de pierres du Quercy et briques toulousaines, le pont-canal est l’un des plus grands pont-canal de France. Situé au sud-est de la ville de Moissac, il a pris le nom du quartier voisin : le Cacor.
Prouesse technique de son temps, le pont-canal a résisté à la violente crue du Tarn de mars 1930.
