Le Calvaire de Kermoisan

In the villages, people talk about the Trégaté cross, the Roffiat cross, but always of the calvary of Kermoisan. Yet, it is not more important than the others. It is true that there is the "rue du Calvaire" and the "chemin du Calvaire".

A wooden niche is placed on the base and rests on the cross. For two years, Louisa Billon, kept the earthenware Madonna at home, waiting for a cabinet maker to make a new niche to replace the old one in such a bad state that it could no longer house the statuette. The Virgin bore the inscription Our Lady of Carmelites. On the new niche, installed in early 1990, the same inscription was engraved. Unfortunately, shortly after, the door was broken, the statuette broken. The niche is empty, alas!

In the meantime, the young people find themselves and sit at the foot of the Calvary, as previous generations, under the divine protection of the Christ.
