Ancienne buxeria "bois de buis".
L’occupation du territoire remonte à la préhistoire.
A gauche, actuellement un pub, c'est l'ancien relais de poste. En face, la salle des fêtes "Grange Gilbert Bécaud" devant laquelle une statue en bronze du chanteur à la cravate à a été inaugurée le 23 février 2008. En effet, Gilbert Bécaud s'est installé sur cette commune en 1968, y a été conseiller municipal de 1989 à 1995.
