River "La Chalaronne"

Description

The Chalaronne originates at Villars-les-Dombes in the pounds of Birieux, Saint-Marcel and Lapeyrouse. The Chalaronne crosses 3 towns north of our territory : Saint-Etienne, Saint-Didier et Thoissey.
In total, it measures 52 kilometers. In normal times its flow is modest but it can experience unexpected and destructive floods that have long been in the news.
