Viking tapestries from Överhogdal

Överhogdal tapestries is the museum's strangest objects.They are textile fabrics - from the exciting break time between pagan and Christian times! The long lengths are covered figures: humans, horses and various types of mythical sago animals. In long rows they blow up, past the trees, houses, churches and ships. The motifs and symbols attracts many different interpretations.
