Built in the 1880s and formerly known as the Hôtel de France from 1912 to 2017, the Hôtel de la Gare has preserved its old-world elegance while offering top-quality modern services. Since September 2024, it has been run by Stéphanie and Grégory Idier, who are committed to making your stay an unforgettable experience.

Ideally located just opposite the La Roche-sur-Yon SNCF train station, at 19 Avenue Gambetta, the hotel enjoys a privileged location just a few steps from the city centre and Place Napoléon. Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, the Hôtel de la Gare is the perfect base from which to explore this magnificent region.

The Hôtel de la Gare offers 26 renovated rooms decorated in a modern, uncluttered style, with colours inspired by the world's horizons. Each room is equipped with :

Private bathroom with shower or bath, according to your preference.

Work desk with free Wi-Fi connection for your professional needs.

Complimentary tea and coffee tray for your convenience.

We offer three types of room to meet all your needs:

Double rooms: 140 or 160 cm bed, bathroom or shower, suitable for one or two people, with two rooms accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Triple rooms: 160 cm bed and 90 cm bed, with bathroom or shower.

Quadruple rooms: Ideal for 3 to 4 people, with two possible configurations: one large room with a 160 cm bed and two 90 cm beds, or two interconnecting rooms, both with 160 cm beds, with bathroom or shower.

The Hôtel de la Gare also offers an evening rate specially designed for business travellers. This offer includes overnight accommodation in a standard room, dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. In the restaurant, you can choose between :

A 2-course à la carte menu, accompanied by a drink (25cl beer, soft drink, glass of wine).

3-course à l'ardoise (menu of the day), also with a drink.

As the restaurant is closed at weekends, we offer a snack menu with home-made jars from the Potes&Boc restaurant in La Roche sur Yon, as well as quiches, pizzas and croques monsieurs.

The hotel has a lift to make getting around easier, as well as a car park nearby. Please note that the hotel no longer accepts payment by bank cheque.
