SPECTACLE - "Concerto pour contrebasse" avec l'ONPL sous la direction de la cheffe Polina Lebedieva

The ONPL returns to Cap Nort for a symphonic concert conducted by Polina Lebedieva, a young Ukrainian conductor. With the delicate Overture in C, this is a beautiful tribute to Fanny Mendelssohn, one of the few female composers of the 19th century, who, in the shadow of her brother Felix, did not dare to publish her works until the end of her life. Next, the programme features the Concerto No. 2
for double bass by Giovanni Bottesini, a work which revealed the full expressive richness of the instrument. The programme concludes with Bizet’s Symphony in C, an elegant and luminous piece with its oriental-inspired melodies.
