Le Gîte des Hirondelles

Welcome to the Gîte des Hirondelles, a charming retreat in Brain-sur-Allonnes, ideal for a holiday with family or friends in the heart of Anjou. Here, nature is all around you. A true haven for birds, the gîte invites you to slow down and enjoy a peaceful setting, lulled by the song of swallows from morning till night. A rejuvenating break amidst the countryside, the Loire and local heritage.

As soon as you arrive, you’ll discover a cosy living area designed for sharing special moments together. The open-plan kitchen makes it easy to prepare your meals whilst staying in close contact with your loved ones. The cosy dining area is perfect for hosting gatherings with ease, whilst the lounge, with its sofa, comfortable armchairs and large television, promises lovely, relaxing evenings after a day of exploring. On the ground floor, a utility room with a washing machine and a shower room with a shower and toilet complete the facilities.

Upstairs, the gîte can accommodate up to 7 people in three thoughtfully furnished bedrooms. The ‘Venise’ bedroom offers a cosy and warm atmosphere with a double bed (140x190 cm) and a single bed (90x190 cm). The ‘Rabelaise’ bedroom features a double bed (140x190 cm). The ‘Empire’ bedroom has two single beds (90x190 cm) that can be joined to form a large bed (180x190 cm), allowing you to adapt the layout to suit your needs. A bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet complete this floor, a real bonus for group stays.

Outside, it’s time to unwind. The private garden is a real little corner of paradise where everyone can find their own space. Settle down around the garden furniture for al fresco meals, enjoy the relaxation area for a spot of reading, or share some quality time around the barbecue. Thanks to the numerous parasols, you’ll always be able to find a shady spot to relax. Children will love the outdoor games provided, whilst the grown-ups can savour the laid-back Angevin lifestyle.

The heated swimming pool (from early June to late September, weather permitting), shared with the owners, adds that extra holiday feel. Accessible directly from the garden via a gate, it measures 9 metres long by 5 metres wide, with a depth of 1.30 metres. It is open from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and then from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm, making it easy to alternate between swimming, relaxing and exploring.

For your comfort, everything is included in the rental price. A high chair and cot are provided in the accommodation. There is a portable air-conditioner upstairs for the three bedrooms, as well as three fans.

The Gîte des Hirondelles is ideally situated for exploring the treasures of the Loire Valley. Saumur, around 20 km away, will charm you with its iconic château, historic narrow streets and cave cellars. Horse riding enthusiasts can visit the prestigious Cadre Noir, 25 km away. For a family outing in the countryside, walks along the Loire or the ‘La Loire à Vélo’ cycle route offer magnificent scenery. The famous Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine, situated 40 km away, will delight young and old alike with its unique wildlife park. Angers, around 68 km away, is also well worth a visit for its historic centre, its castle and the famous Apocalypse Tapestry.
