La Métairie

Just 10 km from Angers, in the heart of the lower Angevin valleys (a Natura 2000 site) and on the GR35 walking route, you’ll have the pleasure of exploring this charming region with family or friends.

The “La Métairie” holiday cottage in Villevêque offers three bedrooms with a real bonus: a private shower room for each bedroom. On the ground floor, the gîte features a lounge/living room with a television, a separate kitchen (induction hobs, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker…), a utility room with a washing machine, a bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, a shower room and a separate toilet. On winter evenings, you can enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove. Upstairs, the two bedrooms each have a 140 cm double bed, a 90 cm single bed and a shower room. There is also a separate toilet on the landing. With garden furniture including a barbecue, sun loungers, a swing, a slide and a table tennis table, the garden promises plenty of fun for the whole family. And the pond, with its ducks and moorhens, will delight curious little ones. Just 5 km from the gîte, you can enjoy a lovely day by the River Loir with its equipped beach, picnic tables, children’s play area and open-air café… (supervised swimming in July and August). During your stay in Villevêque, you can easily set off to explore the treasures of Anjou: the châteaux of the Loire (Angers, Brissac…), villages along the banks of the Loire, the vineyards of Anjou, or even the troglodyte dwellings and Saumur, just 45 minutes away. The gîte has Wi-Fi, and local shops are just 5 minutes away: a bakery, supermarket, chemist, florist, newsagent…

For a stay with a baby, the following equipment is provided: cot, high chair, baby bath.

Firewood is provided for the wood-burning stove, but heating (heat pump) is not included in the price (an additional charge applies for consumption exceeding 8 kWh per day, based on the current rate).

The gîte is situated near a railway line (100 m away), though this has not been a cause of inconvenience for previous guests.
