The picturesque and secluded Charentonne Valley offers beautiful, lush green landscapes with rolling hills. Just like here, at the Clos de Saint Hilaire, which welcomes you to the heart of the forest for a truly peaceful stay. As soon as you make your way down the forest path, you’ll be immersed in the atmosphere: tranquility, birdsong, and a chance to unwind. The cottage is a truly spacious vacation home just the way we like them, with a “family home” feel and plenty of space for everyone to play, relax, chat, and share memorable meals together well into the night... It’s up to you to plan your own itinerary! The atmosphereis warm and welcoming, with a decor featuring antique furniture and family heirlooms—sometimes charmingly old-fashioned but always designed with your comfort in mind, including high-quality bedding and top-of-the-line amenities. There are also board games, books for everyone, darts, pétanque balls, and ping-pong for plenty of fun. Your pets are welcome—everything is provided, including the option for horse boarding. You can enjoy plenty of hiking trails all around and reach the small village of Broglie on foot. There are very nice markets in Bernay on Saturdays and in Broglie on Fridays. GROUND FLOOR: entrance (after 3 steps) into the bright dining room, kitchen with a second small dining area and direct access to the garden, a cozy and inviting living room, a double bedroom, a hallway with a work area, a bathroom with a large shower and a separate toilet. A beautiful staircase flanked by a gallery of portraits leads to the UPPER FLOOR: on one side, two bedrooms, each with a 160x200 double bed; one has an additional 70x150 children’s bed, and the other has a large desk. On the other side, there are two connecting bedrooms: the first with a double bed, the second with three single beds (90x200). Bathroom with laundry area (washer and dryer) and separate toilet. You’ll be in the heart of a wooded estate, where your large, private, unfenced garden is located. Ping-pong, darts, pétanque balls, slides for the little ones, and board games and books for indoors. A winding forest access road stretching 150 meters.
