Hôtel de Forton

This early 17th-century mansion belonged to Vigile de Forton. It was bought by the commune in 1783 to house the parish priest and organize meetings.
It became the Hôtel de Ville until 1977. Look up, a strange creature is watching you!
Note the entrance door, the corbelled turret and the medieval-style roof with a wooden chimera with a crocodile head and fish scales.
