Description

Located west of Le Vigan, the village of Bréau overlooks the Souls river, a tributary of the Arre.

It is made up of several hamlets and farmhouses: Serres, Le Plan, Le Bruel, Les Courèges. It is unique in that it is built according to the rules of circular urban planning, with an orchard in the middle. Bréau is a suspended village,
with picturesque alleyways and remarkable views. Salagosse is a granite farmhouse traversed by
The village is accessed by a winding road with numerous bridges and magnificent viewpoints, making it an ideal place for a stroll.
A commune conducive to art and creativity: every year, the Salon de Bréau, created by artist Harry Séguéla, exhibits works by painters, visual artists and ceramists practicing in the Cévennes.
At Le Plan, the Maison des Jouets presents original creations and toys from all over the world.

Mars
Situated on an ancient passageway leading down from the Col de Mouzoulès to the Coudoulous valley. The village has preserved its traditional hamlet layout, with houses built of granite and schist. Several streams run through the village, watering the many market gardens and orchards on the slopes and in the valley bottom.
