Classified as a 1st grade river, the Salleron is a tiny river bordered by little ponds, that's why you will find all kinds of fishes (1st category graded fishes and also 2nd category graded fishes): perches, carps, pumpkinseed, roaches, etc.... The most used fishing technic is line-fishing with a float. On the 1st grade rivers, only one fishing rod per angler is allowed, with maximum 2 hooks and 3 artificial flies. Maggots not allowed. A fishing license is required to fish in this area. Fishing licenses are sold at the town-hall of Azat le Ris (23, rue du Pré du Moulin), at the bar-restaurant "La Couronne d'Oradour" (2, rue de l'ancienne poste) or on the website www.cartedepeche.fr. Prices: daily fishing license (10€), weekly fishing license (32€), annual fishing licenses (95€ for interfederal men-license, 73€ for the Haute-Vienne men-license, 32€ for women, 20€ for minors (from 12 to 18), 6€ for children under 12).
