Rated as a category 1 river, the Planche Arnaise takes its source near the border of the Creuse and flows into the Glévert in the South of the village Montbregnaud in the commune of Mailhac sur Benaize. You will find above all trouts, but also gudgeons, minnows, some white fishes and some crayfishes. Natural bait fishing is the most used technic, and in summer you may use a fishing spoon. As a 1st graded river, only one rod per angler is allowed with maximum 2 hooks and 3 artificial flies. Maggots are forbidden. A fishing license is required to fish in this area. Fishing licences are sold at the town-hall of Arnac-la-Poste (2, place du Champ de Foire) or on the website www.cartedepeche. Prices: daily fishing license (10€), weekly fishing license (32€), annual fishing licenses (95€ for interfederal men-license, 73€ for the Haute-Vienne men-license, 32€ for women, 20€ for minors (from 12 to 18), 6€ for children under 12).
