Creully - petites cité de caractère

The small town of Creully is a town with a distinctively medieval character. Place Edmond Paillaud, the heart of the town, leads you into the grounds of the extremely well-preserved 12th-century castle. Its unusual architecture, the result of numerous alterations, will surprise you: ramparts, moats, a Romanesque hall, a square tower, a Renaissance turret, stables… right in the heart of the town.
The castle, which also houses the Radio Museum, is open to visitors from May to September, and a varied programme of events enriches the experience for the whole family. Its gardens are freely accessible all year round.
Saint Martin’s Church, built at the same time as the castle, will delight you with its architecture and is home, in particular, to a collection of unusual graffiti depictions of boats.
Local shops, accommodation, restaurants, places to stroll, cultural activities… Creully is a pleasant little town to live in and well worth exploring.
