MUSEE D'ART ET D'HISTOIRE DE LANGRES

In the heart of the old city, contemporary architecture and stonework form the unexpected setting of a museum with a vast collection of art and archaeology.

Since the 19th century, enlightened enthusiasts and generous donors have established an exceptional collection, including archaeological artefacts from Prehistory to the Gallo-Roman period, sculptures from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance,
decorative arts (blades, faience, furniture…) and 16th to 20th century paintings, drawings and engravings.

The visit immerses museumgoers into the rich artistic heritage of Langres, the homeland of renowned artists such as Jean Duvet, Jean Tassel and Jules Ziegler.
