Patrimoine: Notre Dame de Montaigut

Description

Au XIIe siècle, propriété des templiers de Vaour, sur la motte féodale, le chapelle Notre Dame de Montaigut (ou Montégut) appartenait au puissant château du même nom qui, pris par Simon de Monfort en 1211, vit son démantèlement exigé par le traité de Meaux qui marquait  de la croisade des Albigeois. Simon de Monfort épargna la chapelle qui devint église paroissiale.
