Square Sainte-Anne

Square Sainte-Anne
Square Sainte-Anne
Square Sainte-Anne

Description

This small square near the lake and the Sainte Anne promenade shelters the virgin in a small artificial cave covered with votive offerings. These thanks were affixed by the sailors saved from a shipwreck, recalling that La Bernerie was above all a village which prospered thanks to the activities of the sea. In the middle of the square is a representation of Saint Anne, patron saint of sailors, raising her protective arm. A few benches allow you to rest sheltered from the wind. The place is very popular today for the game of pétanque
