Two years after the death of their father, Sarah (actress) and Rachel (sociologist) began an interdisciplinary, poetic and symbolic correspondence. This correspondence takes place in small steps, in the heart of their sorority.
Their aim is to come up with a singular and/or shared statement - in any case, one that can be shared in terms of form and structure (the object of the residency), focusing in particular on how the adelphic bond is a particular and precious resource for getting through life's trials and tribulations.
More specifically, the exploration here will focus on traumatic interlockings, how they (re)arise in our lives, how they also persist in assigning us to pain, denial, forgetfulness, nightmares, conflict... For while sorory is a wonderful place to summon and receive care, it is also possibly the site of traumatic amplification, at the very least when experiences have been shared.
So, while writing and artistic production offer ways out, what exactly is the path we're taking here, together? To heal what? Care for whom? And how?
