Montjean-sur-Loire: A crossroads between the river and heritage
Located just 160 metres from the Tourist Office (open from April to September), the gîte is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding area:
-Heritage: Once the Loire’s principal port, Montjean reveals its history through its monumental sculptures and its past as a lime-burning centre.
-Activities: Embark on a river cruise or visit Cap Loire, a discovery park dedicated to the world of the Loire and its boats. Here, there are no boats on the water! They are displayed right in the gardens, allowing visitors to explore them on dry land.
-Nature: Explore the Mauges hiking trails or paddle down the Loire in a canoe or kayak
-Amenities: Shops, restaurants and open-air cafés within walking or cycling distance, where you can savour the laid-back atmosphere of the Anjou region.
