Tower Paradis

Opened in 2015, the Paradis tower - called ‘Finance Tower’ - brings together offices of the Ministry of Finance previously situated in 17 different buildings. 118 metres high, the building covers 52,946 square metres on 28 floors. Including its antenna on top, it reaches a height of just over 130 m. A new and bold architectural gesture, it was built in just over two years, between March 2012 and December 2014. The name Paradis (Paradise) refers to the history of the site. Until 1881 the Paradis chapel stood close to the site where the skyscraper now stands. Although the name ‘Paradis’ might surprise us nowadays, it was not unusual in previous centuries.
