Village de Charnois

From ancient times, we discover the Saint-Rémi church, dating from 1750 or the fountain dating from 1864 and dedicated to Saint-Quirin. This fountain reminds us the martyrdom of the Roman officer converted to Christianity and whose body was thrown into a lake.

"The waters of this lake had therapeutic qualities ... like the fountain of the village, which associated with a plant, also had medicinal properties for the skin.
Fom these findings, has been associated the fate of this man and the fountain, which was restored  in blue stone thanks to patrons of Charnois."
