A few hundred metres away stands the Maison Forte No. 12, known as MF12-Olly, built in 1938 in the commune of Illy by civilian contractors under military project management. Attached to the same Fortified Sector of Montmédy, sub-sector of Sedan, Frénois district, it was part of the same defensive system and was manned by the same elements of the 15th Company of the 147th RIF.
Its armament was slightly different: it featured one embrasure for an anti-tank gun or light machine gun, four embrasures for light machine guns, two rifle loopholes and two grenade chutes.
Unlike its neighbour, MF12 has survived the decades without too much visible damage: it was converted into a residential dwelling and still stands today, albeit in an incomplete state.
