Les halles furent construites au 18e siècle, et eurent au fil du temps diverses fonctions: musées, salle de cinéma, grenier...
Aujourd'hui, elles ont retrouvé leur éclat d'antan et accueillent un marché hebdomadaire le dimanche matin ainsi qu'une manifestation annuelle chaque premier dimanche de Printemps: la fête de la Jonquille.
