Remains of the keep
Description
As part of the establishment of a new town, King Louis VI le Gros had a fortified keep built between 1133 and 1136, with buildings and a garrison within the enclosure. The keep was razed to the ground after the Battle of Ivry (1590), leaving only the ruins.
