Hiking weekend between Vercors and Provence

Here's a magnificent weekend of hiking to discover the most beautiful sites in the Haut-Diois and Sud Vercors: the spectacular Rocher de Combeau, the romantic Vallon de Combeau, Mont Aiguille and the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors nature reserve.
J1/ Die (400 m)

Meet and greet at 6pm in Die.

D2/ Die - Archiane - Bénevise (1350 m)

Visit the town of Die with a local guide and stroll through its lively market. Transfer to Archiane for a picnic in the countryside. We enjoy the cirque, famous for its griffon vultures, then head for the belvedere, which offers an incomparable view of the cliffs where they nest. Crossing walnut and lavender fields, we reach the hamlet of Bénevise at the entrance to the famous Combeau valley.

2 to 4 h walk. Difference in altitude: + 400 m / -100 m.

D3/ Réserve des Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors (1850 m) - Die

An exceptional day in the Combeau valley and the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors nature reserve, the largest in France. We may be lucky enough to encounter marmots and chamois. Our itinerary, from secret valleys to sheepfolds, takes us to Tête Chevalière or Montagnette, incomparable lookouts over Mont-Aiguille and the Alps.

Walking time: 4 to 6 hours. Difference in altitude: + 500 to 700 m / - 500 to 700 m

Transfer to Die station and departure at 5 p.m.
