Taking part in the Land art workshops allows you to create collective ephemeral works of art.
1) For families (parent and child)
This is a fun and friendly way for young and old to work together to create a giant fresco. The emphasis is on raising artistic awareness, playing with the tides and the pleasure of transforming the beach into an area for artistic expression.
2) For a company seminar
This is a collaborative team-building exercise focusing on communication and overall vision. The teams have to organise and coordinate themselves in the space to create a logo or a complex work, illustrating the group's cohesion and strategy.
3) For events (weddings, birthdays, etc.)
This is a participative and poetic event where the guests contribute to a monumental work celebrating the festivities and the joy of being together. This creates a unique visual memory, often immortalised by drone, symbolising the imprint of this special day in a natural setting.
But "What is Land Art?"
Land art is the creation of ephemeral artistic works created in nature from natural elements (flowers, leaves, wood, pebbles, sand, shells, etc.). For example: a fresco created from flowers and sand on the trunk of the Liberty Tree in Bayeux during the passage of the Olympic Flame.
Beach art or sand drawing is an ephemeral artistic discipline that involves creating graphic compositions by tracing geometric patterns of varying sizes on the sand uncovered at low tide.
The works generally measure between less than 10 metres and 25 metres in diameter and are often visible from a high point. The drawings are planned according to tide times, the nature of the sand, and exposure to wind and light. Photographic capture is an essential part of the process, enabling a visual trace of the work to be preserved once it has been erased by the sea.
On Omaha Beach, the workshops often take place at the foot of the Vierville-sur-mer jetty. But they can also take place on other beaches. Workshops are scheduled according to the weather and the tide.
