The establishment was created in 1956 by the Russian grandparents of the current owner and offers a restaurant listed in many guides and a hotel with 8 bungalows. Its panoramic view of the cliffs lit up at night, its many terraces on several levels and its luxuriant vegetation give the place the magic of a Provencal hamlet on the water's edge.

This Independent Republic of Figuerolles, a humorous nod to a unique setting with an air of the end of the world, is also the awareness of living in a privileged environment. The association Les Amis de Figuerolles is committed to maintaining, protecting and embellishing the Calanque; while two of the rooms are deliberately kept at a historic rate to facilitate access to all.
