18. Maison Gratadour, Le Gaud

Description

Jean Baptiste Gratadour was born in Meymac Meymac on April 14, 1880, the son of Philippe Gratadour and Françoise Monteil, who later settled in Saumur as second-hand dealers Saumur. He first lived in Saumur Saumur and then, as a negociant, in Caude?ran Caude?ran near Bordeaux. Most of his customers were Paris hotels, which he visited before prospecting in Normandy. In 1906, he married Marguerite Liber Meymac with Marguerite Libouroux, daughter of a family of wine merchants. He then set up the Gratadour-Libouroux trading house in Bordeaux. Around 1920-1930, he had a house built in the Gaud district, which he named Villa les Marguerites.
