Alone or in a pair, zip around town in one of these dinky 3-wheeled tour cars. Your open-top GoCar will be equipped with a GPS and an audio-guide, leading you around the city’s top sites while giving you all kinds of information about what you see (available in 6 languages).
A choice of itineraries will be proposed to you according to the length of your outing. Cruise over to Golden Gate via the city’s iconic Presidio and Crissy Field parks; coast up the seafront, tasting the ocean air and checking out the stores on Chestnut Street; take on the maze of passageways leading to Russian Hill; or snake down the steep zigzags of Lombard Street – all of the routes are specially designed to show you around the best parts of the city.
Of course you can also create your own itinerary, either just going with the wind or by exploring the places that specifically interest you. Wherever you plan to go, this is a fun and informative way of getting there!

* Availability: every day (apart from exceptional dates)
* Duration: rental by the hour
* Times: 9am to 6pm (last departure at 4:30pm – the GoCar must be given back before 6pm)
* Language: audio-guides available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian
* Departure point: 431 Beach Street, San Francisco
* To take part in this activity, simply present your voucher to the service provider on the day
* Please note: YOU MUST BE AGED 21 OR OVER TO RENT A GOCAR. The passenger must be at least 4 years old
* EVERY DRIVER MUST PRESENT A VALID DRIVING LICENCE AND CREDIT CARD
* Both American and foreign driving licences are valid for renting a GoCar
* The GPS proposes several pre-planned itineraries, but you are free to choose your own route
* You are not authorised to cross Golden Gate by GoCar, but you can drive up to the bridge and cross it by foot
* The driver must leave a $300 deposit with the agent on the day (cash/cheque/credit card). The deposit will be given back when the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition
* An insurance covering the time of the car rental will be proposed on the day, should you wish to adhere (standard: $12/premium $19)
* Each GoCar can carry a maximum of 2 people
* The GoCars are equipped with CD players
* The maximum speed of a GoCar is 55km/h
* In case of rain, you can cancel or postpone the activity without charge
* The GoCar must be returned to the rental agency before sunset and before your scheduled return time – a supplement will be charged for every 15 minutes past this time
Cancellation terms
Cancellations free of charge until 7 days before the activity
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
