Visit a glass blowing workshop in Murano and a lace workshop in Burano - In English

Discover these two famous places and learn about the artisans' skills and know-how!
Jump on board a boat and head to the Island of Murano.
This island, famous for its glass, at one time counted among its population the only people who knew how to make mirrors. The world has changed a lot since then, but you will see that craftwork has remained the same during your first stop at the glass blowing workshop.
Your guide will explain the different steps of glass blowing, revealing how glass is made, what gives it its colour and many other secrets.
You will then have some free time to admire the collection of works created there and to explore the island.
Your next stop will be Burano, known for its brightly coloured houses, but mostly for its lace.
Accompanied by your guide, you will visit a lace workshop where women create lace in the exact same way as their mothers and their grandmothers before them. The history of these women and their expertise will be explained in detail.
After having some free time to wander the island, you will return to Venice by boat.

* Availability: Every day from April to October (excluding exceptional cases)
* Departure point: Near to the vaporetto stop, Zaccaria
* The tour ends opposite the Gabrielli Sandwirth Hotel
* Some areas may be very hot and lacking in shade, you are advised to bring a hat, suncream and a bottle of water
* Please note that this tour is not suitable for anyone using a wheelchair or a pushchair
Cancellation terms
Cancellations free of charge until 7 days before the activity
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
