Description
Set off from Washington for a trip to Gettysburg, the historic site of the most bloody battle in the American Civil war.
SETTING OFF FROM WASHINGTON, D.C., TRAVEL THROUGH THE COUNTRYSIDE TOWARDS GETTYSBURG, AT THE HEART OF PENNSYLVANIA. SPEND THE DAY IN THE LOCATION OF THE INFAMOUS BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG, WHICH CHANGED THE OUTCOME OF THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR.
Begin the tour with a visit to Farnsworth House to discover a day in the life of a soldier during the war.
Next up is the visitor center where you'll be shown a 20-minute film on the history of the battle. Also on the itinerary is a visit to the town museum and cyclorama, a truly unique exhibition with a vast 360-degree painting of the battle. You'll learn about life in Gettysburg during the period, including the impact of war on the town and region.
Your excursion will finish with a 2-hour trip to the battlefield itself. Your guide will talk you through every moment of the terrible battle where more than 7,000 men lost their lives.
You'll be transported back to Washington after a history-fuelled day!

Cancellation terms
Cancellations free of charge until 7 days before the activity
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
