You will then go up Whitehall Street to the Banqueting House, the last remnant of the Palace of Whitehall. The building is typical of the Renaissance architectural style and its ceiling is decorated with magnificent paintings by the Flemish artist Rubens.

* Times: 10am, 2pm The Banqueting House is closed in the afternoon most days. The 2pm tour will therefore be entirely devoted to Westminster Abbey.
