Avoid the long queue and walk straight in to Doge’s Palace, one of the most historical places in Venice. During this guided walking tour you will discover the Doge’s Palace and all of its secret spots!
Once you have entered the palace, you will follow your guide to all the lesser known parts of the Doge’s Palace.
You will begin your tour in the secret chancellery room which used to be home to the Venetian Magistracy’s classified documents. Then you will discover the torture chamber which was used by the police to extract information. You will be surprised by what is hidden underneath Venice!
You will then head towards the prison cell of the famous Casanova who successful escaped from Doge’s Palace. How? Your guide will reveal all the secrets behind his evasion! On the way, you will also see the inquisitors chamber and a small room in which you will be able to access the underground prison through a secret door.
The secrets of Doge’s Palace will continue to unravel in the Magistrates chamber, in which the ceiling is decorated with frescos of famous painters such as Veronese.
At the end of your tour, you will be left to explore the rest of Doge’s Palace at your own pace. There will be a lot more to discover such as:

* Availability: Every day between April and October (excluding exceptional cases)
* Time: 9am and 8.30am depending on the period
* Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes

* Children under the age of 6 years old are not permitted to participate in this tour.
* It is prohibited to take photos inside Doge’s Palace.
* Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes in advance.
* This activity is not suitable for persons of reduced mobility or who require extra assistance.
* Pushchairs are not permitted during this tour.
* This tour involves a lot of walking and stairs, consequently we recommend that you wear comfortable footwear.
* There is a maximum of 25 people per tour group.

Cancellation terms
Cancellations free of charge until 7 days before the activity
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
