Classified as a natural heritage site since 1988, the havre de la Vanlée lies between Agon-Coutainville and Granville. It serves as an estuary for the Vanlée river, and is located in the communes of Lingreville and Bricqueville-sur-Mer. Covered by salt meadows, grasslands and salt pans, it is accessible via a submersible road, which is covered during high tides. Covering 10 hectares, the harbor is home to numerous species of both flora and fauna. Some 150 species of birds have been recorded here. Sheep and rabbits can also be found in the dune beds, as well as numerous plant species.
