La Pointe d'Agon

Classified since 1989, this unspoilt natural site is well known to walkers and is a must-see for visitors to our region. Between grasslands and sandy stretches, the site conceals many natural treasures. The headland lies to the south of Agon-Coutainville, separating the harbour of Regnéville from the sea. The fauna and flora here are extremely rich, and some 400 plant species have been recorded. The Pointe d'Agon lighthouse and a monument to Fernand Lechanteur, a former university lecturer and defender of the Norman language, are also worth a visit. A hiking trail skirts the pointe, allowing eco-friendly visitors to immerse themselves in this haven of peace.
