[FERMEE AU PUBLIC] Forêt Domaniale de Cerisy

In the heart of Normandy, the Cerisy state forest develops and preserves a high level of biodiversity. Between Bayeux and Saint-Lô, the Cerisy state forest, with its 2130 ha, is the largest lowland forest nature reserve. This beech forest was classified because of the presence of a species of beetle that is unique in the world: the coppery golden carabid beetle. An arboretum located near the Embranchement crossroads also gives visitors a better understanding of the different species found in the forest. The Maison de la Forêt - Office de Tourisme welcomes the public and raises awareness of the forest environment through guided tours and educational activities.
