Musée du Bocage Normand

You will find the Ferme de Boisjugan in the heart of the Vire Valley.
The 17 th century buildings now house the museum of Normandy’s
‘bocage’ or farming landscape of fields and hedgerows. The museum
records the great human adventure that is the development of
agriculture from 1800 to the present day, with a permanent exhibition
of 800 m² containing 1000 items. The latest interactive display
techniques are used to show the formation of the Bocage, the
development of farming methods and the rearing of horses and
cows. Typical working areas have been recreated: stable, cowshed,
workshop and butter parlour.
Events - Additional information: From June to the end of August:
old fashioned butter making workshop for children (over 4) and adults,
tasting of the butter made. Lasts 1 ½ hours – visit to the museum
included in the ticket price. By prior booking – maximum 15 people
per workshop. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm and 4pm. Full rate :
6€ Under 12 years old: 3€ - free for children under 3€ – we request
that an adult accompany children.
