The wooden ribbon weaving loom with two bars offered in June 2003 to the Club des Rubans (Ribbon Club) by Pierre Lécuyer, the last manager of the ribbon manufacture of Thiberville, shows the importance of this industry in the town’s economical past. The town of Drucourt restored a traditional Norman building behind the Town Hall to display this ribbon weaving loom and other weaving equipment, objects, documents, photographs collected thanks to the elders, the Lécuyer family, and private individuals. The importance of this industry, which no longer exists, justifies the opening of this museum to preserve this heritage and perpetuate the memory of the history of Drucourt and the surrounding towns and villages.
