La Cave du Tronquay

Cider and Calvados from Normandy. Producer since 1941 in Tronquay, 10kms from Bayeux. "In Tronquay, the apple trees grow well, the cider is both graceful and strong at the same time, and is renowned in the surrounding area" (Legras 1907).

Our winery is located in the heart of the Bessin, a Calvados appellation area in Normandy. Our parents have always "cultivated" apple trees in this region, land also used for the manufacture of pottery, bricks and tiles. Our apple varieties make it possible to obtain a particularly typical cider. Our Calvados, matured in oak barrels, ages with the rhythm of time which gives it the much sought-after "authenticity" aroma. We ensure our customers a traceability of the products. Situated 20 km from the landing beaches, the orchard covers an area of 7 hectares.
