Château de la Mothe
Description
Castle of la Mothe was built in the 12th century by the lords of Mérinchal. At the time, it was a true feudal dwelling, with a moat surrounding the residence. A pentagonal corner tower with a spiral staircase was added in the 15th century, and in the 1960s and 1970s, it housed the commune's nursery school. Castle of La Mothe is now used for several purposes: town hall, exhibition hall (in summer) and holidays home on the upper floors.
