Description
Villemur-sur-Tarn, in the back-country of Toulouse Located in the heart of the Fronton vineyards with the cool waters of the Tarn River running through it, the Canton of Villemur-sur-Tarn invites you to discover the 7 townships which are within. Hiking, history, heritage and numerous festivals are programmed. In Villemur, the churches date from the 14th to the 19th Centuries, the Tour de la Défense (12th Century), the Greniers du Roy (17th Century) and the banks of the Tarn River are so welcoming for relaxation during the summer months. In the neighbouring area more than 35 km of hiking trails will take you towards the numerous dove-cots, lavoirs (wash-houses) and traditional farms built of red brick...
