Parc Chanot

Parc Chanot

Description

An urban green space par excellence, the Chanot Garden is a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
In some squares, the playgrounds can still be used but are under the responsibility of parents who must ensure that health regulations are respected, including physical distance.

An urban green space par excellence, the Chanot garden is a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located in a busy area, at the entrance to the Parc des Expositions and a stone's throw from the Velodrome stadium, this space is entirely dedicated to children. The park is organized around a 4-meter glass pyramid that is in fact the skylight of the metro station located below. In addition to two children's playgrounds, the garden also features a merry-go-round, an electric car circuit, a bicycle rental point and a puppet theater. At the edge of the pond, a refreshment bar-restaurant allows for a soothing stop. Remodeled in 1995, this garden has been equipped with a road training track lined with 9 large umbrella pines and more than 1000 shrubs (oleanders, laurels, spireas, seringas, viburnum, escallonias...).
