Located to the south-east of the city, Les Goudes is the last little "village" of Marseille before Callelongue and the succession of coastal fjords known as the "Massif des Calanques".
With its still-active fishing port, Les Goudes is a wonderful little quarter, packed with the typical character of Marseille – suffice to say that it is besieged by holidaymakers and weekenders in summer! Featuring a little cove where you can swim and sunbathe, footpaths leading to the Massif de Marseilleveyre hills, flat rocks where you can chill out in the sunshine, and bars and restaurants with fairytale views over Tiboulen, Maïre and Riou islands, Les Goudes has everything you need to spend a magical moment in both winter and summer. Traffic can get very heavy in peak season and you can expect traffic jams in the evening when people head back from the beaches, but, generally speaking, Les Goudes remains a haven of peace.
