Here the itineraries of several artists cross. Cézanne painted "Maison à l'Estaque", a farmhouse that was then considered the birthplace of Pierre Puget.
Braque, in 1908, while still steeped in Cézanne's lessons, painted the railway viaduct there. A moving meeting of master and pupil, 25 years apart. Derain also painted a lot in this area. It is also here that Macke came, following in the footsteps of Braque.
