The construction of this church by Sourdeau is due to the strong demographic growth at the beginning of the century.
It is built on a centered plan and one notices a great use of concrete (monumental statues) and reinforced concrete (beams and pillars). To see: the wrought iron chandelier and the Way of the Cross by M.Ferrière, and two monumental paintings by Victor Vasarely (1906-1997) exposed since September 2005 (loan from the city of Charenton-le-Pont). Works conceived as a diptych: Christ (5,66 x 3,24 m) and Saint Peter (5,73 x 3,10 m).
