Consecrated in 1147 and listed as a Monument Historique in 1908, it was the seat of the former archpriesthood of La Double, which included 41 parishes until the French Revolution. Very important for a rural church, Notre Dame de la Nativité has shown itself to be constantly adapting to architectural changes over the centuries.
Dome, furnishings and objects: 17th-century carved walnut altarpiece, paintings, carved capitals including an "Ouroboros" (upside-down monster), Obit (13th-century Latin inscription, unique in the Dordogne), Baroque organ... Romanesque style, much altered and enlarged in the 16th c. During the Wars of Religion, the building was raised to create defense and shelter chambers above the vaults. Concerts and guided tours by appointment are organized during the summer and on the European Heritage Days.
